Added "Move Tab to New Window" and "Merge All Windows" commands to the Window menu to help work you work with tabs.Along with being able to reorder tabs in the owning window, you can also drag tabs to a new window. Interarchy's view model has been re-written to support drag-reordering of tabs. Our internal testing has shown dramatic speed improvements for moderately sized websites seconds versus minutes. This means mirrors should take a lot less time to complete. For one it is a lot faster when transferring listings. (Basically, any server that has SSH installed.) SSH has a number of advantages over SFTP. It should work with any server that supports SSH and has perl v4 or later installed. Interarchy now supports a new SSH-based transfer protocol. One of the most compelling pieces of Mac OS Internet software ever produced, the version 9 series includes the following major new features: Interarchy, formerly known as Anarchie, is, perhaps, the most popular Mac FTP client - but today it is much more than an FTP tool. See the press release for more information. Matthew has been working on Interarchy for six years and has led the development of Interarchy for the last several years. Note: As of Februin what amounted to an employee buyout - Interarchy's lead developer, Matthew Drayton, formed a new company, Nolobe Pty Ltd, and acquired Interarchy. Be aware using a backup bookmark folder will replace all the bookmarks in Firefox with the bookmarks in the backup file.Shareware $59 Current Version: 6.3 (February 10, 2004) / 7.3.3 (April 14, 2005) / 8.5.4 (October 29, 2007) / 9.0.1 (April 15, 2008) Check the file date for information when the backup was created. Follow the instructions in Restoring from backups above, and when you select Choose File…, follow the path C:\Windows.old\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\bookmarkbackups to your previous bookmarks. One especially useful item is the Bookmarks from Firefox. Restoring bookmarks after upgrading or downgrading Windows 10Īfter upgrading or downgrading your Windows 10 operating system, a directory named Windows.old is created, and most of the data erased from the upgrade or downgrade is stored there. You can then restore the backup from the Firefox Library window, using the Choose File… option, as described in the Restoring from backups section above. Place the bookmark backup file on your transfer media (for example a Flash drive) and copy it to the desktop (or any location) of the other computer. The bookmark backup file can either be a manual backup (see above) or one of the automatic dated backups located inside the Firefox profile folder named bookmarkbackups folder. This is useful if you can't synchronize the two computers' bookmarks using Sync, for some reason. You can also use a bookmark backup file from one computer and restore it on another computer. See How do I set up Sync on my computer? for more information and instructions on setting it up. Important: Firefox Sync continuously updates itself as you change bookmarks, so it does not provide a true backup service, nor is it intended to be used as one.įirefox Sync is the best way to keep your bookmarks (and other profile data) synchronized between all of the computers you use. The Bookmarks backup filename window will close and then you can close the Library window. The desktop is usually a good spot, but any place that is easy to remember will work.
